Hi! I’m Elizabeth

and I live in Omaha, Nebraska. I have moved a LOT over the years, and most recently, I moved to Omaha with my brand new husband to start our “grown-up lives”. Obviously part of being a “grown-up” was the search and purchase of our very first house! We fell in love with a 2-story foreclosure in an awesome neighborhood. Our house is only 15 years old, but we are the 4th owners and it has been sadly neglected over the years. We’re jumping in with excess enthusiasm, a lot of theories about how things should work, and lots of lessons going to be learned along the way.
I love to paint (though seem to have an impossible time selecting paint colors for my house) and make random crafts. I wish I was better at photography and I love love love to take and look at pictures. I am always up for anything that is random or unexpected and I think it’s those things that are the most fun! World’s largest teapot? Sign me up.
I have help along the way…though not with typing this blog. My awesome hubby is Steve.

and he’s the brains and brawn behind our projects and I don’t know what I would do without him! He is an electrical engineer and worked as an electrician throughout college, so that’s definitely handy! Steve loves to be active and outside, so if we’re not doing house projects, he’s probably found running, mountain biking, or golfing.
Our support staff (who usually serves as morale boosters more than anything) consist of 2 adorable (I’m probably biased) dogs.
Meet Lucy (on the left) and Kirby (on the right).

They are best buds who love their new yard, basement, stairs, and carpet. They were both “rescues” from the local animal shelter and little is known about their age, prior owners, or breeds. Lucy’s about 2 and Kirby is a bit over 4.
So there you have it, you know the whole fam! Join us on our journey from “theory” to “knowledge” and enjoy our missteps along the way!
